VirusTotal is an ecosystem where everyone contributes and everyone benefits. To promote this kind of collaboration, we’ve created the VirusTotal Community: a space where the antivirus industry, security professionals and malware researchers can talk with each other and with end users as we all work to make the internet a safer place. This community now acts as the collective intelligence of VirusTotal; comments range from deep malware analyses to information on distribution vectors and in-the-wild locations of submitted files. Files and URLs can be voted as malicious or harmless; together these votes build a community maliciousness score for the resource.
